Is a membership expensive ?
There is no fixed membership fee. Paysite owners are free to set their own prices and that's why there is some variety among the various paysites. Most paysites watch their competitors closely and will try to charge the same fees or even less.

Some sites are bigger in size, some are smaller in size and that actually explains the difference in membership fees. Larger sites have much more expenses due to hosting of the content and the bandwidth they are using with the hosting provider.

Some paysites buy content. Others shoot the content themselves. Either way, they have to spend money to be able to offer exclusive content to their members. These costs are also covered by the membership fees.

It is hard to say wether a membership is expensive, because it all depends on the quality of the content and size of the paysite. You need to find out if the paysite is worth the fee.
